I always ask myself this question when I travel. Bring your cell phone if it's GSM and supports 900-1800 frequencies. If not, leave it at home. If you have work to do then bring your laptop but I hate lugging a laptop around on my vacations. The only reason I usually bring it is to watch movies on the plane and store my pictures. Bring a book instead. Bring multiple memory cards or a digital wallet that lets your store your memory cards. Other than that, you're on vacation. Get off your computer. If you really need e-mail or internet find an internet cafe.

dolly, you better not, bring you´r lap top, and cell phone, there are a lot of public internet places, and is going to be cheaper to call back home from a public phone than from your cell phone, enjoy your trip !
