I am going on a trip and I have a couple questions about the plane...?
I am going to Italy (8 hour flight) and I am taking the 'Air Transat' plane, and I have a few questions...: 1-Does the plane have tv's on the backs of the seats? 2-Would they allow knitting needles on the plane? Or would that count as a weapon? 3-I am bringing: Laptop, Nintendo DSi, iPod Touch, are there any other ways to pass time on the plane? Thank you for your answers ;)

Daniela - 8 hours to Italy with Air Transat - sounds like from Canada - If you leave from Toronto or Montréal, has to be a night flight - I would recommend to get your meal, a glass of wine then sleep - The morning will be there soon, then landing - If you sleep - the first day in Italy will be ok and be able to stay up until night - If you do not sleep, I guarantee you will go to bed early afternoon in Italy - After takeoff, move your wristwatch 6 hours ahead = that's the time in Italy...

In answer to your questions.... 1. That depends on whether or not the particular plane features TV's on the back of the seats. If it does not, then there will be screens right above you to watch. You will need to pay the flight attendant $5.00 cash to get a set of earphones, so make sure you bring the money. 2. Not sure. Best thing to do is to ask, or to go to the FAA.gov website and find out. 3. Sounds like you got it covered. The rest of the time, just relax, and take a nap if you have to. Enjoy your flight
