computer experts please help.?
here is a laptop from italy, language of windows xp in this laptop is italian, i want to change it in widows xp english version. please help me to sort out this problem. one more thing is that laptop doesnt have cd rom drive because it is amall size lapto. it has only few usb ports,card reader etc but not cd rom drive thats why i cant formate it and upload xp in english. please tell me how should i do that, best answer will get full points.

you wil need to use the control panel to set the region and language. 'ts been a while since i've used xp so i'd have to check, but it's not terribly different to vista or 7, which is also region and language...

right click on the task bar and open the language toolbar and change the language to english. .

Your best bet is to borrow or buy an external cd/dvd drive, plug it into a spare usb port, boot the laptop from the XP installation disc and re-install, selecting English as your preferred language. I think I am right when I say that although you can change the language from English to Italian you cannot change from Italian to English from within windows xp.

You have to download or buy what is called Windows MUI (Multi user interface). Either search the internet for a copy of the MUI or contact a Microsoft dealer.

Check if you can boot from USB..Then maybe you'll be able to install Win Xp from a USB flashdisk..

The correct answer is from Roie,you need to buy a MUI package from Microsoft,it only comes for free with Vista and 7.The settings on language and region will only change minor things not the interface and menus.So either learn Italian or get a MUI package!
