Prepaid Wireless Internet for PC in Italy

Prepaid Wireless Internet for PC in Italy?
I am traveling to Italy and I am taking my laptop. I need to know what providers provide prepaid internet usb keys. I will not use an internet cafe. I have heard of Wind, 3, Vodafone, and TIM, but I don't know any prices, how many hours, or if there are restrictions on the times that the keys can be used. Any information will be appreciated.

The providers you mention are THE internet mobile providers in Italy, and all of them provide prepaid sim to be used with a usb key. There are various choices about price, time, restrictions... It depends on how much you foresee to stay in Italy and how much time per day on the internet: for isntance, 30 euro for 100 hours in a month. Anyway, buying any sim you can use it in a usb key paying the regular price (usually 0.5 eurocent every 15 minutes using gprs or one euro every 15 minutes using umts, where available). Of course this way is the cheapest way

the back box transformer thing on my power cord for my laptop says Input: 100-240V... will it work when i plug it into an outlet in italy - i have an international travel adapter but i don't think it changes the voltage... also, my camera's battery charger says the input is 120V... will that work too?? thank you!

"100-240V" means the transformer can work with any voltage between 110 and 240; you may also see something like "50-60 Hz". It will works perfectly in Italy, you just need a plug adapter (or an Italian or European chord). If the charger just says "120 V", it will not work in Italy (220 V), so you need either a converter or a charger that can work with 220-240 V or in a wider range, like your laptop charger.

yes it will work, what do you think? is italy that far behind in technology?
2 :
you need a voltage adaptor to plug in your stuff for italy
3 :
Yeah i'm pretty sure it should work. If your not sure on the MAC laptop, i'd take a browse through the support section on the apple site, to see if there is an answer on there. http://www.apple.com/ As for iron i'm not 100% on, but it SHOULD be ok. You should also review this more carefully before you go. Incase you need to buy an adapter. Hope this helps
